Our Impact

Natalice Gomez- Dieruff ‘23 LVHN Pathway, Moravian Nursing
The Century Promise helped me get my foot in the door with opportunities such as taking a college Medical Terminology course in high school and getting some volunteer work done in different areas in the Lehigh valley hospital. Those opportunities helped me to see what I’m most interested in. Things I had trouble in and or problems I faced, they were always there to help us and be our voice for problems we couldn’t fix on our own. Even after high school they helped me apply for different jobs within the hospital to get closer into my career.

I want to honor The Century Promise program with some amazing words, they have been an amazing part for me when it came to planning my future. The Century Promise program has helped me develop the skills to chase my dreams and not give up, they have motivated me to keep following my dreams and goals throughout my final school year. Yusuf Dahl has helped me throughout the whole program, I appreciate and respect him a lot because he never gave up on me and continued to push me throughout the program. I also want to thank Ms. Anna for helping me with the applications and helping me get my first professional interview. I am extremely happy and can’t wait to see what’s next to happen.

Century promise has opened my eyes to many possibilities. It has shown me that no matter what age you are, we all have something going on that many don’t know about because we put up a good act even when we’re suffering the most. Being in this program has shown me that being in the medical field is what I really want to do, I want to help people who need someone there for them, even if it’s just to listen to someone vent about how they feel or what they’ve gone through. The Century Promise opened my eyes to multiple possibilities we have at such a young age, helped me to realize what I really want to do, which is to help others.

Kaydence- William Allen High School '23 LVHN Pathway
The Century Promise has given me a great opportunity by allowing me into their Medical Terminology course while still in high school. They are also helping me with getting a job in the medical field. I knew that I wanted to be an Oncologist since the 7th grade, but I didn’t know which direction to apply myself in. I am grateful for this big opportunity. I can’t wait!

For starters, The Century Promise has given me many opportunities to get me where I am right now. For example, my nursing career, by doing the LVHN volunteer work, taking Medical Terminology, and confidence for my interviews. They helped me to prepare for my career by helping with applications to so many different nursing pathway positions.
